The mistake a lot of small businesses make with their marketing is they position themselves as a marketer rather than a teacher.
People don’t want to be marketed to; they want to be educated.
If you publish helpful, educational marketing, people will gladly consume it, because it won’t feel like marketing.
But if you publish marketing that feels like marketing, people will avoid it.
Don’t be one of those businesses that publishes ‘markety’ marketing.
