Whenever I write a property listing, I like to play a game.
The game is to see how many words I can remove. Not add, but remove.
The reason I work hard to remove words is because I know that buyers have short attention spans, and that if you don’t get to the point, they’ll click out of your listing and move on to another agent’s listing.
Also, I know that the longer it takes to deliver a message, the less persuasive the message becomes. I want to challenge you to play the same game when you write your listings.
After you’ve finished your first draft, read your listing and see how many words you can remove. Do this five times.
At the end of the process, compare your first draft to the finished version. You’ll be amazed by how much more readable and enticing your listing has become.
