How do you know whether or not a particular piece of communications has been successful?
Well, the aim of communications is to convey information. So if you managed to convey the information you were trying to convey – your communications was successful. If you didn’t – it wasn’t.
So what’s the best way to successfully convey information? By making it as easy to understand as possible.
That’s why you should use simple, clear everyday language in your marketing. Big words and jargon are bad. Pretend you’re marketing to a 10-year-old.

Thanks Nick! I used to having this problem choosing the right word for my flyer/ad. I used to keeping wordings the corporate style (as a result of about 20 yrs in corporate world). I was trapped between my corporate identity and the new real customers I’m relaying the msg to.
