Somebody once told me that if you don’t ask your customers for testimonials, you have a hobby not a business.

It’s so important to get reviews from your customers, because you can then take those reviews and use them to prove your value to potential future customers.

I know it can feel awkward to ask customers for testimonials, but there are a few ways to overcome that feeling.

First, you need to have done such great work that asking for a testimonial seems like a reasonable request.

Second, the request has to be made in a way that conveys humility not entitlement.

Third, you have to give testimonials to others; the more you give, the easier it feels to take.
