What happens if you’re in a relationship and you don’t listen to your partner?
Sooner or later, they’ll leave you and find someone who makes them feel valued and appreciated.
The same rule applies in business. If you don’t listen to your customers, they’ll find a rival who does.
That’s why, when you do marketing, it’s so important you make your customers feel you’re listening to them rather than talking at them.
That means your marketing should reflect their hopes, fears and values … rather than talking incessantly about how amazing your business is.
Otherwise, your customers will stop consuming your marketing and start consuming one of your rival’s instead.
