As a real estate agent, you would’ve encountered lots of vendors who were sad about the thought of leaving their home.
The reason is they connect the home to their emotions and experiences – it was where their child took their first step or where they hosted lots of fun dinner parties or where they enjoyed lots of romantic sunsets with their partner.
But no one ever says they’re sad to leave their home because of the built-in ‘robes or the well-appointed kitchen or the spacious living room.
The point is this: homes aren’t about bricks and mortar – they’re about emotions and experiences.
So when you write your property listings, you should spend less time talking about the features and more time talking about the emotions and experiences buyers will enjoy when they move into the home.
