Whenever people ask me, “Nick, what should I talk about in my content marketing?”, I like to answer their question with a question of my own:
“What sort of information do your customers want to know?”
Perhaps they want:
- News about your industry
- Analysis
- Advice
- Product demonstrations
- All of the above
Whatever it is that they want – that’s what you should talk about in your marketing.
If you talk about things that your customers find interesting, helpful and relevant, they’ll enjoy consuming your marketing.
And the more people that consume your marketing, the more effective it will be.
