When you do marketing, your small business has to earn the right to ask for a sale.
How? By providing your customer with helpful, relevant, interesting information.
If you do that, customers will gladly accept a sales pitch at the end of your marketing message.
But if you go straight into selling mode and provide no value … they won’t make it to the end of your marketing message.
In other words, your business has to give before it tries to take.
One of the reasons we dislike businesses that move straight into ‘Sell, sell, sell!’ mode is it feels like they’re breaking an unwritten rule.
Don’t be one of those businesses.
