Here’s a question for you: if I visited your website, would I think your small business was an expert in its field?
No, I’m not asking: “If I visited your website, would you have text telling me you’re an expert in your field?” After all, most businesses make that claim.
What I’m asking is whether I would conclude, based on my own observations, that you were an expert.
For me to reach that conclusion, I would need to see two things:
- Testimonials proving that you know how to please customers
- Blogs proving that you know a lot about your industry
Don’t use your website to tell me you’re an expert – use it to show me.
