Dentists sometimes say you don’t need to floss all your teeth – only the ones you want to keep.
A similar philosophy applies with marketing and small businesses. It’s not true that every business needs to do marketing – only the ones that want to make sales.
If you don’t want to make sales, you should feel under no obligation to do marketing.
Oh, wait, you do want to make sales? Then, yes, I’m sorry to say, you do need to do marketing. Yes, really.
People won’t buy from you if they don’t know you exist. People won’t buy from you if they don’t trust you. People won’t buy from you if they don’t believe you have credibility.
So how do you overcome those objections? Marketing.

Absolutely spot on. You are doing great videos, but I think this one is one of the finest – such a simple message giving people a choice! Well, sort of a choice – assuming they don’t care if they stay in business or not!
Thanks for your kind words, Brendan. Some people have a strong dislike of marketing … which would be fine, if not for the fact you need to do marketing to make sales. 😃
